So the clouds parted for us on a glorious blue sky day for our first taster session at the University of Birmingham. We began the session inside the Tolkien Room at the Guild of Students to welcome the group and introduce students to the benefits of mindfulness, practising a guided breathing meditation. We then proceeded to walk mindfully outside to begin some dynamic warm up stretches in preparation for the run. The run took us on a 2 mile route along Edgbaston park Road to the Vale Village, where we looped around the lake and back to the University campus to stretch down. We then went back inside to practice a guided body scan meditation and relax our bodies. It was only a small group but it made it a tidy and flowing session. All in all, a fun day out.
